Course Description
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates that at least 100,000 crashes per year are the direct result of driver fatigue, resulting in 1,550 deaths and 71,000 injuries annually. Additional accidents due to fatigue may go unreported because some drivers don’t even realize that a lack of sleep was the cause of their failure to navigate the road. This course covers the dangers of fatigued and drowsy driving, factors that contribute to the problem, and strategies that prevent accidents caused by driver fatigue. Participants will learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of driver fatigue as well as how to react to remain safe.
